Meeting fire mode pressure & velocity requirements for both the stairwell & lobbies is often difficult to achieve, Hevac has further advanced our tried and proven program settings for stairwell pressure control to greatly aid in satisfying the vastly different pressure requirements for stairwell doors open & closed. We are calling this new added technique the SLAP solution and is giving great results on systems that otherwise couldn’t pass both the door velocity & door resistance pull tests, nobody else to our knowledge has come up with this innovation, so if you’ve ever experienced the frustration of trying to pass stairwell pressure & velocity tests don’t do the cheap method of connecting sensors straight to a VSD, not only is that going to prove difficult to test and trim at commissioning & years to come but gives poor control capability compared to a RLU2.. series controller using this automatic setpoint shift method.
